Inspiration: Tony Skeor

Tony Skeor's colour palette consists of the colours I plan to use to light my finalised character. We can see how the blue, purple and pink lights add the atmosphere to his characters, who would probably look rather simple and generic although they are well drawn.

The neon lights add a soft and dramatic element at the same time. They feel nostalgic, old, and futuristic. It is a speciality of the retro-futuristic element, to add the feeling of nostalgy to things from the future. It makes his characters look very feminine, strong, and mysterious. That is why this lighting is mostly used for female characters while male characters are more often depicted in grey colours with blue or even green neon elements.
